CONTEMPORARY METHODS OF TEACHING PHONETICS

Abstrak

This article examines contemporary methods of teaching phonetics in English language education. It highlights the importance of pronunciation in developing learners’ communicative competence and intelligibility. The study analyzes modern approaches such as communicative pronunciation teaching, technology-assisted learning, and task-based activities. Special attention is given to the role of digital tools and multimedia resources in enhancing phonetic awareness. The findings indicate that integrating innovative methods significantly improves learners’ pronunciation accuracy, confidence, and overall speaking performance
