Abstract

This article explores the theoretical foundations and practical applications of general scientific, general philological, and specialized linguistic methods in modern linguistic research. General scientific methods, such as analysis, synthesis, comparison, and modeling, are examined as universal tools that provide a systematic approach to studying language phenomena. In addition, general philological methods are discussed as essential means for interpreting texts, including historical-comparative, descriptive, and contextual analysis, which help reveal the cultural and semantic layers of language. Furthermore, the paper demonstrates how the integration of these methods contributes to advancements in linguistic theory and practice, particularly in areas such as discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, and applied linguistics. The findings suggest that a multidisciplinary methodological approach enhances the reliability and depth of linguistic research, making it more adaptable to contemporary scientific challenges
