CONTEXTUAL REALIZATION OF POLYSEMOUS MEANINGS
Keywords:

This article examines the contextual realization of polysemous meanings, focusing on how a single lexical unit expresses different meanings depending on context. Polysemy reflects the flexibility of language, but it also creates difficulties in interpretation when context is not clearly identified. The study shows that the meaning of polysemous words changes according to linguistic environment, communicative situation, and cultural background, and therefore cannot be understood through isolated word meaning alone. It is found that context plays a key role in disambiguate meaning and preventing misunderstanding. The findings highlight that effective interpretation of polysemy requires attention to both semantic and pragmatic factors and contributes to a better understanding of meaning variation in language
