Translation plays a crucial role in facilitating intercultural understanding and promoting global integration in an increasingly interconnected world. As a medium that transcends linguistic boundaries, translation enables the exchange of knowledge, values, and cultural identities among diverse societies. This article explores translation not merely as a technical process of linguistic transfer but as a dynamic intercultural practice that mediates meaning between cultures. It examines how translation contributes to mutual understanding by preserving cultural specificity while making texts accessible to global audiences. Particular attention is given to the role of translation in diplomacy, education, literature, media, and international communication, where it functions as a bridge between local cultures and global discourse. The study also addresses the challenges translators face, including cultural untranslatability, ideological differences, and the risk of cultural homogenization in the context of globalization. By analyzing theoretical perspectives and practical examples, the article demonstrates that effective translation fosters dialogue, tolerance, and cooperation among nations. Ultimately, the paper argues that translation is a fundamental instrument of global integration, supporting cultural diversity while enabling meaningful interaction in the global community
