THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOLS FOR DEVELOPING ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS

The rapid development of digital technologies has significantly influenced the field of English language teaching. Among these technologies, artificial intelligence has become one of the most discussed and practical tools in modern education. This article examines the role of artificial intelligence tools in developing English language skills, particularly listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The purpose of the study is to analyze how AI-based applications can support language learning and improve student engagement and performance in English classes. The research is based on a qualitative approach and includes descriptive analysis of commonly used AI tools in language education, such as chatbots, grammar assistants, speech recognition systems, and adaptive learning platforms. The findings show that artificial intelligence can provide immediate feedback, individualized learning paths, and greater learner autonomy. At the same time, the use of these tools also presents certain challenges, including overdependence on technology, limited critical thinking, and unequal access to digital resources. The article argues that AI should not replace the teacher but should be used as a supportive instrument that enriches the learning process. The study concludes that artificial intelligence, when integrated thoughtfully and pedagogically, can make English language instruction more interactive, flexible, and effective
