This article examines the psychological adaptation and simplification principles used in the translation of children’s literature. Since children differ from adults in terms of cognitive development, emotional perception, and linguistic competence, translators must carefully adjust the text to suit young readers’ abilities. The study explores how simplification, cultural adaptation, and stylistic modification help create accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate translations. It also analyzes strategies that preserve the original work’s meaning while making it understandable for children. Examples demonstrate how psychological factors influence vocabulary choice, sentence structure, and narrative style. The article highlights that successful translation of children’s literature requires balancing fidelity to the source text with the psychological needs and comprehension level of the child reader
