This thesis explores the structure of syllables in English words. It explains what a syllable is, how words are divided into syllables, and the different types of syllables that exist. The work shows that understanding syllables is not just a grammar exercise but a practical tool for improving pronunciation, reading fluency, and speaking confidence. Using examples from common proverbs and tongue twisters, the thesis demonstrates how practicing syllable patterns can help learners master the rhythm and clarity of spoken English
