Project-Based Learning (PBL) has emerged as an effective pedagogical strategy in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms, promoting active engagement, learner autonomy, and meaningful communication. Grounded in constructivist and experiential learning theories, PBL allows students to explore authentic problems over extended periods, integrating all language skills in collaborative and purposeful tasks. This study examines the theoretical foundations of PBL and its alignment with student-centered education, highlighting its role in enhancing communicative competence, motivation, and critical thinking. Findings suggest that PBL transforms the traditional classroom by shifting the teacher’s role from instructor to facilitator and positioning students as active agents of their learning. The study concludes that adopting PBL in EFL contexts supports holistic language development while fostering 21st-century skills
