This article examines the issue of developing students’ academic writing skills in higher education. Academic writing is considered one of the key competencies in modern education, as it contributes to the development of students’ critical thinking, analytical abilities, and written communication skills. The study analyzes effective methods of improving academic writing, including the process-based approach, genre-based learning, and task-based learning. In addition, the role of modern pedagogical technologies and interactive methods in enhancing students’ writing competence is discussed. The findings indicate that the integration of different teaching approaches significantly improves the effectiveness of developing academic writing skills among students
