A STUDY OF SEMANTIC STRUCTURES AND FUNCTIONAL PATTERNS OF EXCLAMATORY SENTENCES IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK

This study analyzes the semantic structures and functional patterns of exclamatory sentences in English and Uzbek from a comparative perspective. It focuses on how emotions, speaker attitude, and evaluation are expressed through different linguistic means in both languages. The research examines key features such as intensity, interjections, word order, and intonation, as well as the communicative functions of exclamatory sentences, including expressing surprise, admiration, and emphasis. The study also considers the role of context in shaping the meaning and impact of exclamatory expressions in communication. In addition, it highlights how cultural factors influence the frequency and style of exclamations in both languages. The findings show that while both languages share similar functions, they differ in structure: English tends to use more fixed patterns, whereas Uzbek relies on flexible word order and morphological markers. This study contributes to a better understanding of cross-linguistic semantics and is useful for learners, translators, and researchers
