This article discusses the challenges of museumification of the activities and scientific legacy of the Institute of Physics and Technology during Uzbekistan's years of independence. It reveals the role and significance of the institute in promoting science in Uzbekistan, and proposes and recommends strategies for the museumification of its activities and scientific achievements
