Abstract

The rapid development of technology and the evolving demands of the global labor market have significantly transformed higher education. Traditional teacher-centered approaches are increasingly being replaced by innovative teaching methodologies that encourage active participation, critical thinking, collaboration, and independent learning. This article examines the role of innovative teaching methods in improving student engagement and academic achievement in higher education. Particular attention is given to student-centered learning, flipped classrooms, project-based learning, collaborative learning, and technology-enhanced instruction. The study highlights the advantages of these approaches and discusses their contribution to creating a more effective and interactive learning environment. The findings suggest that innovative methodologies not only increase student motivation but also foster the development of essential 21st-century skills
