In today’s interconnected world, English has become the primary bridge for global communication. This article explores the fascinating parallels between English and Uzbek idioms. The study aims to uncover how these two linguistically different languages share common ground through figurative speech. By using contrastive analysis, the research demonstrates that universal human experiences often lead to “absolute equivalents” in idioms, regardless of a language’s origin. These findings are particularly useful for translators and language educators
