National dishes and traditional sweets are not only an important part of a nation's cuisine but also a reflection of its language, history, and cultural identity. This study examines the linguistic significance of Uzbek national dishes and sweets by analyzing their lexical and semantic characteristics. The research explores how the names of traditional foods preserve historical experiences, cultural values, and social traditions that have been passed down through generations. Particular attention is given to the relationship between language and culture, demonstrating that culinary vocabulary contains valuable information about the lifestyle, customs, and worldview of the Uzbek people. In addition, the study highlights the role of ethnolinguistics in interpreting food terminology and explains how national culinary names contribute to enriching the vocabulary of the language. The findings suggest that the linguistic analysis of food names provides a deeper understanding of cultural heritage while emphasizing the close connection between language, tradition, and national identity. Therefore, the study of national dishes and sweets is significant not only for linguistics but also for cultural and intercultural research
