This article examines both the significant advantages and the real challenges that arise when technology is integrated into EFL classrooms. It explores how digital tools can boost student motivation, expand access to authentic language input, foster learner autonomy, and facilitate meaningful collaboration — while also confronting honest concerns about distraction, digital inequality, inadequate teacher preparation, and the risk of technology becoming an end in itself rather than a means to learning.
