The rapid digitalization of education has transformed traditional
approaches to English language teaching, placing media content at the center of
modern pedagogical practice. This article examines media content as a
contemporary educational tool and analyzes its methodological and empirical
impact on English language learning. Drawing on communicative, cognitive,
and sociocultural theories, the study explores how podcasts, television series,
and educational videos contribute to the development of linguistic competence,
learner motivation, and intercultural awareness. An experimental study
conducted with undergraduate EFL learners demonstrates that systematic
integration of media content significantly enhances listening comprehension,
vocabulary acquisition, and speaking fluency compared to traditional textbook[1]
