COGNITIVE AND EMOTIONAL ASPECTS IN TRANSLATING CHILDRENS LITERATURE

Abstract

In this article, the interrelationship of cognitive and emotional aspects in the translation of children's literature is scientifically analyzed. The study substantiates the need to consider the translator's activity not as a linguistic, but as a cognitive-emotional process. In this article is showed how a child's thinking and emotional perception influence translation strategy, as well as the role of emotional equivalence in maintaining artistic and aesthetic impact. Through the cognitive approach, the reinterpretation of metaphors, images, and concepts is analyzed. As a result, it is determined that cognitive and emotional harmony in the translation of children's literature is the main factor determining the quality of translation, and theoretical conclusions on the development of the translator's competence are put forward
