The article examines the relationship between temporality and ideological framing in publicistic discourse. It argues that tense forms in media texts function as instruments of interpretation, evaluation, and persuasion rather than merely grammatical indicators of time. The study analyzes how present, past, and future tense constructions contribute to the representation of social reality and influence public perception. Drawing on functional linguistics, discourse analysis, and critical discourse theory, the article demonstrates that temporality in media communication operates as a strategic mechanism shaping collective understanding, emotional response, and ideological orientation
