Abstract

In the modern digital era, information security has become one of the fundamental pillars of organizational sustainability and national stability. The growing dependence on digital infrastructure across finance, healthcare, education, and governance has significantly increased exposure to cyber threats. This paper explores the importance of information security, discusses statistical trends in cyber incidents, examines real-world attack scenarios, and analyzes the role of risk management in protecting information assets. The study concludes that cybersecurity must be approached as a strategic process integrating technology, policy, and human awareness
