Abstract

The "wisdom of crowds" phenomenon suggests that the aggregated judgment of a diverse group can be remarkably accurate, often surpassing the precision of individual non-experts or isolated observations. This study replicates this. foundational behavioral concept by prompting a diverse group of participants (N=50) to estimate the mass of a bovine subject based solely a digitized photographic asset. While individual estimations exhibited extreme variance-ranging from a minimum of 100 kg to a maximum of 1000 kg the mean collective estimate converged between 470 kg and 480 kg. This collective valuation approached the true baseline weight of 500 kg with an absolute error margin of merely 4% to 6%. The findings reaffirm that statistical aggregation effectively filters out individual cognitive noise and subjective biases, validating the robustness of collective judgment within modern digital communication environments
