The article explores the possibilities of using project-based learning (PBL) as an effective method for developing students' communicative competence in English language teaching. It emphasizes the importance of authentic communication, teamwork, and the integration of language skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) during project assignments. The paper provides examples of project tasks for various age groups, as well as practical recommendations for educators. It concludes that project-based learning contributes not only to linguistic development but also to the formation of universal learning activities, critical thinking, and 21st-century skills
