Annotatsiya

This study examines the nature of language as a cultural, artistic, and cognitive phenomenon within Uzbek and English literary discourse. Using approaches from comparative linguistics, discourse analysis, and linguoculturology, it analyzes how language serves as a reflection of national worldview and how literary texts express cultural identity. The findings indicate that both Uzbek and English literary traditions combine universal human emotions with culturally specific values. By exploring metaphor, phraseological units, and translation practices, the research shows that language operates not only as a means of communication but also as an aesthetic tool that preserves collective memory and conveys philosophical ideas
