Annotatsiya

This article explores the effectiveness of communicative activities in teaching English pronunciation to EFL learners. A classroom-based program incorporating role plays, pair discussions, dialogues, and information-gap tasks was designed to develop learners’ pronunciation skills. The activities aimed to improve both segmental features (individual sounds) and suprasegmental features (stress, rhythm, and intonation) through meaningful interaction. Findings indicate that communicative activities promote natural pronunciation practice, increase learner engagement, and reduce speaking anxiety. As a result, learners demonstrate improved intelligibility, fluency, and confidence. Integrating pronunciation instruction into communicative contexts proves to be an effective approach to pronunciation teaching
