This study provides a comprehensive analysis of eye health and contemporary problems in ophthalmology. During the research, trends in the prevalence of eye diseases, their main risk factors, as well as the effectiveness of modern diagnostic and treatment methods were examined. Based on the analysis of foreign and local scientific studies, cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, myopia, and dry eye syndrome were identified as the most pressing ophthalmological problems. The results of the study indicate the necessity of early detection of eye diseases, strengthening preventive measures, and improving the medical literacy of the population. This research is of significant importance for enhancing scientific and practical activities aimed at preserving eye health
