This thesis examines the importance of developing all four fundamental language skills — listening, reading, writing, and speaking — in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Listening and reading provide comprehension foundations, while writing and speaking foster productive skills and professional communication. The thesis discusses pedagogical strategies, classroom practices, and assessment methods that support skill integration, motivation, and engagement.
