Annotatsiya

Digital technologies have created new opportunities for English language teaching (ELT), particularly by enabling teachers to combine language practice with interaction, feedback, and learner autonomy. This article examines the pedagogical potential of Educaplay, an online platform for creating interactive educational activities, in the teaching of English as a foreign language. It considers how activities such as matching tasks, word searches, crosswords, dictation, fill-in-the-blank exercises, and quizzes can support vocabulary acquisition, grammar practice, listening comprehension, spelling, and reading. The article reviews relevant perspectives on computer-assisted language learning, gamification, formative assessment, and blended learning. It proposes a practical lesson sequence in which Educaplay is used for diagnostic warm-up, guided practice, collaborative application, and review. Particular attention is given to the importance of aligning digital tasks with learning outcomes and extending game-based practice into meaningful speaking and writing. The article argues that Educaplay can enrich English lessons when it is integrated purposefully rather than used as an end in itself. Its effectiveness should be evaluated through evidence such as pre- and post-task performance, learner participation, retention, and student feedback. The discussion is conceptual and practice-oriented; it does not claim experimental results. It concludes that Educaplay is best understood as a complementary tool within a teacher-guided, student-centred, and inclusive approach to language education
