PSYCHOANALYTIC INTERPRETATION OF THE SPACE-TIME CONTINUUM IN LITERARY TEXTS

This article explores the psychoanalytic interpretation of the space-time continuum (chronotope) in literary texts, focusing on how spatial and temporal dimensions reflect the inner psychological states of characters. Drawing on psychoanalytic theory, particularly the ideas of Freud and Jung, the study analyzes how literary space and time function not only as structural elements but also as symbolic representations of the unconscious mind. The article examines how fragmented time, closed or open spaces, and shifting chronotopes reveal hidden desires, fears, and internal conflicts of literary персонажлар. Furthermore, the research highlights that the chronotope in literary discourse often mirrors the dynamics of the human psyche, including repression, trauma, and memory. Through selected examples from modern and classical literature, the study demonstrates how authors construct narrative reality by blending subjective time perception with symbolic spatial configurations. The findings suggest that psychoanalytic approaches provide deeper insight into the semantic and emotional layers of literary works, enhancing the understanding of character development and narrative complexity
