This thesis examines the importance of considering students’ specialization when teaching Russian. Professionally oriented instruction integrates field-specific vocabulary, authentic texts, and communicative tasks, enhancing both linguistic competence and professional literacy. Content-based and CLIL approaches are highlighted as effective strategies, while teacher guidance in material selection and assessment ensures practical applicability. Aligning language instruction with students’ academic and professional needs increases motivation, engagement, and readiness for real-world communication
