This article examines effective strategies for teaching various types of academic writing in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms. Academic writing is a fundamental component of higher education and plays a critical role in students’ academic success. However, EFL learners often face challenges such as limited vocabulary, lack of familiarity with academic conventions, and difficulty organizing ideas logically. The purpose of this study is to identify practical and pedagogically sound strategies that can support EFL learners in mastering different types of academic writing, including essays, reports, and research papers. The study employs qualitative research methods, including classroom observations, teacher interviews, and analysis of student writing samples. The findings reveal that process-based instruction, genre-based approaches, collaborative learning, and the integration of feedback significantly improve students’ writing performance. The article also discusses how these strategies contribute to learners’ confidence and autonomy. The results suggest that combining multiple teaching approaches leads to more effective outcomes than relying on a single method. This research contributes to the field of EFL pedagogy by offering practical recommendations for teachers and highlighting the importance of adapting instruction to students’ needs. The findings can be useful for educators, curriculum designers, and researchers interested in improving academic writing instruction
