This article examines the role of digital tools and online platforms in improving writing competence among university students learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL). With the increasing integration of technology in higher education, tools such as learning management systems, collaborative writing platforms, and AI-based feedback applications have transformed traditional writing instruction. The study highlights how these technologies support the writing process, enhance learner autonomy, improve engagement, and foster critical thinking. It also emphasizes the importance of pedagogical alignment and teacher facilitation to maximize the effectiveness of digital tools. The findings suggest that strategically integrating technology into EFL writing curricula significantly improves writing quality, learner motivation, and academic readiness in higher education contexts
